Over the past few years we have tried to strike a balance between doing and sharing. This year is no different and we are participating in a number of events where we will share some of the techniques and approaches we’ve used in client assignments:
- In April Victoria and David Gunn who worked as part of our team on the major piece of work we’ve just completed for Asian Development Bank in Manila will be showcasing the audio component at the annual Golden Fleece Storytelling event in Washington.
- May sees Philip and Christopher conducting an interactive working session at the annual Communicators in Business conference to be held in the UK. They will be illustrating some of the techniques applied in an assignment for Royal Mail.
- Victoria will be chairing the annual KM UK conference in the UK in June. This promises to be a stimulating event and together with Ellen Collins now of British Library and formerely MLA London they will be talking about the acclaimed Knowledge Transfer enquiry the results of which have recently been released.
- Singapore is the September venue of the Asian Storytelling conference. Victoria will be giving the keynote presentation at the Origins—First Asia Pacific Business Narrative Conference part of the main event. We are working closely here with one of our partner companies Anecdote of Australia and Shawn Callahan in particular.
- Hong Kong in March 2011 will see the launch of the inaugural Online Asia event. Paul is helping the organisers with the programme and is sitting on the Expert Advisory Committee of this event and the annual UK Online conference that takes place in December in London
Our doing (assignment work) is scheduled to take us to many parts of the globe and has a strong development focus. Back in the UK we are due to complete groundbreaking assignments with the Audit Commission, Royal Mail and MLA London.
